The river flows just right for kayaking, the water in town lake is perfect for swimmers, roads are blooming with bluebonnets, and the weather is just right for hiking enchanted rock! Llano Earth and Art Festival 2018– March 9th-12th

LEAF 2018 Llano Earth and Art Festival

LEAF takes place annually at Grenwelge park right across the street from the hotel! The Dabbs sponsors the festival and hosts the rock balancers/artists that come from all over the world to compete in the World Rock Stacking Championship! If rock art (which is pretty impressive) doesn’t spark your interest then maybe the art vendors and workshops will. There’s multiple live bands throughout the weekend and plenty of yummy food trucks! The Dabbs is booked with rockstackers, but no worries you can camp on site! Make sure to stop by The Dabbs during your stay for a private tour!


Llano Country Opry– March 10th, April 14th, May 12th

People come from all Texas to experience the Llano Country Opry in our historical Lantex Theatre! It’s held once a month with a different musician each show! March 10th Ronnie McDowell, a country artist from Nashville will be featured, April 14th Doug Stone, and May 12th it’ll be the Ultimate Elvis Experience with Josh Davis. Jeep Jamboree– March 15th-17th

Stay at the Historic Dabbs RailRoad Hotel on the Llano River as you saddle up and hit the trails in the heart of Texas Hill Country. This Jamboree offers some of the most challenging terrain in Texas. Held at the historic Inks Ranch, this trip includes granite domes, rock climbs, sandy draws and several scenic vistas. Located near Enchanted Rock State Natural Area, the trail system winds around Watch Mountain, a 300-ft wall of granite. You may even spot some wildlife, such as aoudad, axis deer, blackbuck, and bald eagles!


@LAST Llano Art Studio Tour– March 31st

Come to Llano, Texas on the LAST Saturday in March every year and visit with approximately twenty artists in their creative work spaces right here in Llano. Working in mediums ranging from clay, fabric, glass, iron, jewelry, leather, metal, paint, photography, wood and more. Most of these studios are not regularly open to the public so this is a great opportunity to catch the artist with their art, in their creative work space. Scheduled and unscheduled demonstrations will go on throughout the day. Check out the @LAST Facebook page for more information! March is a very busy time at The Dabbs so make sure to call ahead of time for accommodations!


Fiddle Fest Weekend– April 6th-8th

Llano Fiddle Fest is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with event donations directed to charities and non-profit organizations. Their mission is to enrich and preserve the art of Texas style fiddling/music. A family-friendly event, the fiddle contest is part of Llano Fiddle Fest weekend. Click on the link above for more info! The Dabbs Hotel hosts the kick-off party on Thursday April 5th, so stay tuned for that!


29th Annual Crawfish Open– April 20th-21st
